You're driving along minding your own business when out of nowhere SMACK a rock hits and cracks your windshield. You may be asking yourself what now? Is it safe to drive? How can i fix it? Why Me? All these are normal reactions. As far as safety goes, a crack in a windshield is likely to continue spreading, but that does not mean that the glass is going to fall apart. it is a common misconception that once a crack in a windshield develops, the windshield will fall in on the driver. that is not the case with a cracked windshield. Every vehicle built has a laminated windshield that is designed to stay together even when damaged. there are at least three layers to every windshield. One outer and one inner glass layer, and then a tough middle layer of plastic that holds the glass together. this prevents the glass from falling apart once it is cracked. the easiest way to fix it is to call or text your local auto glass service provider like NJ Auto Glass in Lambertville NJ. 908-494-6088. we can help with all your auto glass needs in central NJ and bucks county, PA. as far as "Why Me"............ IDK, but it happens to almost everyone who owns a car eventually.
